Dr Martin is a geochemist, with international experience in the resource sector. He has acted as an independent consultant in many mine and exploration assessments and has provided reports in numerous merger and takeover situations. Dr Martin worked with the CSIRO, has served in the Economic Policy Section of the Australian Foreign Service and has worked with the United Nations Environment Programme. In 1979 he became a Research Fellow with the Rockefeller Foundation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He has an extensive list of publications on mining, exploration, and mineralogy to his credit and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

ELAINE CARR B.Sc., Grad. Dip. Ed., M.Teach.
Executive Director and Company Secretary

Ms. Carr has been appointed as Company Secretary of Carrick Gold Limited. Ms. Carr has, for the past three years, been responsible for the preparation of the Company’s tenement and mineral exploration reports for submission to the Department of Industry and Resources and quarterly activities reports for submission to the Australian Securities Exchange. Ms. Carr holds a bachelor of science degree (double major) (Murdoch) , a graduate diploma in education (Notre Dame), and a master’s degree in teaching from Queensland University of Technology.

ROSS GILLON
Director

Mr. Gillon, principal of the legal firm of Lawton Gillon, has been in legal practice for c. 30 years and has been legal advisor for Carrick Gold Limited since its inception in 2002. He has been a director of many public companies and is currently on the Boards of Millennium Minerals Limited and Red River Resources Limited.

LAURENCE FREEDMAN AM
Director

Mr. Freedman has a long history of involvement and expertise in resource companies having begun his career with the Gold Fields Group, initially as an analyst, rising to director of group companies, including Commonwealth Mining Investments. He later spent time at BT Australia as Manager of Investments.

In 1980, he resigned from BT to found the Equitilink Group which he grew to a global company with operations around the world. He held chairman and/or director roles at a number of Australian and international companies.

In 2000, he sold the Equitilink Group and has managed his private investment portfolio in shares, property and fixed income. He is a mentor to a number of resource, biotech and technology companies.
