Carrick Gold Limited (ASX:CRK) is a gold exploration and development company based in Perth, Western Australia. Carrick was established in 1994 with the acquisition of the Lindsay’s Project, and was listed on the ASX in January 2005.
Carrick’s gold projects are located in the world-renowned Western Australian goldfields region, within 90km from the major mining services of Kalgoorlie. Since listing on the ASX, Carrick has increased its JORC resource base to more than 4moz, which includes the 2.9moz Parrot Feathers deposit at the Lindsay’s project. The Company’s shallow resources are suitable for low cost open pit development. A feature of Carrick’s exploration approach has been its low cost of discovery, only c. $4/oz of gold resource delineated.
Following its exploration success, Carrick is now moving toward production to capitalise on its quality assets and the strong gold price. In 2009 Carrick commenced a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for an open-pit mining operation at the Lindsay’s, Brilliant, and Kalpini gold projects. Its aim is to become an Australian mid-tier gold producer of around 100,000+ ounces per annum.
Carrick’s Board has a track record of delivering for shareholders. To support its growth, Carrick is expanding its Board and management team, with recent appointments to boost the depth of its experience and expertise in developing WA gold projects.
